Voxeet’s privacy policy

At Voxeet, Inc. (“Voxeet�?), we take your privacy seriously. We are committed to respecting your privacy when you visit any Voxeet websites such as www.voxeet.com (the “Site�?), use any of Voxeet’s Internet communication solutions (the “Voxeet Service�?) or otherwise download, install or use any of Voxeet’s software applications designed to enable use of any Voxeet Service (the “Voxeet Software�?).

This Privacy Policy is designed to explain:

What information we gather from you through our Site or your use, installation or download of either the Voxeet Service or the Voxeet Software; and
How we collect, use and disclose this information, and who might see this information.

This Privacy Policy may be changed or updated from time to time at Voxeet’s sole discretion. Any changes or updates will become effective immediately upon receipt of an email, text, push or similar notification from Voxeet or upon the posting of the new Privacy Policy on the Site with a link from the Site’s homepage. It is your sole responsibility to visit the Site frequently to review any revisions made to this Privacy Policy.

By visiting our Site, by using the Voxeet Service or in any manner using, installing or downloading the Voxeet Software, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy and expressly consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your information, including personally identifiable information, in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the Voxeet Registered User Agreement, which you agreed to be bound to upon your registration with Voxeet to allow you to use the Voxeet Service and download, install and use the Voxeet Software.

General information collection and use

Our primary goals in collecting personal information are to:

Enable you to fully use the functionality available via use of the Voxeet Service, including, without limitation, managing the contacts you choose to make available to Voxeet (e.g., through Facebook sign-in, allowing us to access your contacts via e-mail address books, etc.), providing information to your contacts and people you choose to share information with through use of the Voxeet Service, and storing your history (e.g., your “call logs�? and “messaging�? history);
Provide you with a smooth, efficient and customized experience;
Send you information upon your request; and
Communicate with you about Voxeet, the Voxeet Service and the Voxeet Software.

In addition, we may use such information to improve our marketing and promotional efforts; to analyze the Site, Voxeet Service and Voxeet Software usage; to improve our content and product offerings; and to customize the content, layout and services of the Site, the Voxeet Service and the Voxeet Software, generally and specifically.

By way of example and without limitation, we may use your personal information (a) for license reporting and assessment of the Site, the Voxeet Service and the Voxeet Software service levels; (b) to better understand on an aggregated basis how our products and services are used, gauge traffic patterns and determine what types of content and services are most popular with users of our products and services; (c) to verify access rights to content, services or software; (d) to provide you with information about Voxeet products, services, news and events through the Site, the Voxeet Service, the Voxeet Software or e-mail or SMS messaging addresses you have provided to Voxeet; (e) to allow you to purchase and download Voxeet products and services; and/or (f) to provide you with personalized content programming, instructions and services via your use of the Voxeet Service.

Information storage; Use of the internet to communicate; Security

Substantially all information Voxeet receives from you or via your use of the Voxeet Services is copied, stored and managed through computer servers owned or controlled by Voxeet. We also employ security techniques to protect your personally identifiable information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the organization. Be aware, however, that “perfect security�? does not exist on the Internet; third parties may unlawfully or improperly intercept or access transmissions, personal information or private communications. As such, we cannot make any assurances that a security breach will not occur.

For example, the Voxeet servers are not located at Voxeet but rather are managed and located at a third-party Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider (an “IAAS�?). We have taken commercially reasonable steps to choose a professional IAAS provider in conformity with industry norms, but we cannot guarantee the performance of the IAAS provider, its security measures or the actions or inactions it takes in the future. By using the Voxeet Service, you understand and agree that we have no liability for the action, behaviors or failings of our IAAS provider.

Moreover, while Voxeet does not actively record any verbal communications between users of the Voxeet Service, be aware that the Internet is not a secure environment. This means that others could attempt to or successfully hack into your communications. Voxeet has taken steps to keep this from happening but, given the unsecure structure of the Internet, Voxeet cannot be liable if such actions are taken. Specifically, except with respect to online payment information described below, Voxeet does not encrypt in any manner any information you choose to share or distribute through use of the Voxeet Service, including your verbal communications.

With respect to online payments, if any, we use encryption and secure https protocol to communicate with your browser software, which guards against interception of online payment and/or credit card information you give us.

Personally identifiable information; Location based services

When you choose to become a registered user of the Voxeet Service and choose to download, install, and use the Voxeet Software, you provide Voxeet account information that may include, without limitation:

Your username and your private password required in order to give you access to features of the Voxeet Service;
Profiles created by you to store contact information about yourself (e.g., your name, your email address, your social media information, your phone number(s), your address, business title, family information, etc.);
Your device’s unique device identifier; and
Any other information you voluntarily elect to share, provide access to or that is reasonably necessary to collect by Voxeet in order to ensure proper download, installation and use of the Voxeet Software and/or the Voxeet Services.

We use this information to enable you to use the Voxeet Service and to ensure compliance with intellectual property laws. For example, your account information is stored on servers controlled and accessed by Voxeet. If you forget your log-in password, you will be asked to enter your email address on record with Voxeet in order to gain access to the Voxeet Service as a registered user.

Moreover, we collect additional information from you when you use the Voxeet Service. For example, when you communicate with another person via the Voxeet Service, Voxeet records and stores your call-log information and history. This information is stored through the Voxeet Service on servers owned or controlled by Voxeet.

Additionally, if you provide us with online comments or feedback via our Site or use of the Voxeet Software or post information about yourself or others to or through our Site or through the Voxeet Service, this information is available to others accessing the Voxeet Service and/or shared information available via use of the Voxeet Service. We work to process and maintain accurately the information that you share with us and will use commercially reasonable efforts to allow you the ability to change or modify your user information in order to enhance your ability to use the Voxeet Service for its intended purposes.

Additionally, if and when you pay for the right to use the Voxeet Services (or portions thereof), Voxeet collects your contact
information (such as your address) and financial information (such as your credit/debit card information). We use the information you provide only to complete that product order or fulfill the service. We do not share this information with unaffiliated parties except to the extent necessary to complete that transaction. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use that information to contact you.

Moreover, you may choose to allow Voxeet to determine the approximate location of the devices on which you have installed the Voxeet Software. If you do so, Voxeet can and will have the ability to make such determinations.

Length of storage

Generally, Voxeet maintains all information you submit to us until you proactively change or delete it or otherwise terminate your registration with Voxeet. This allows us to ensure full functionality of our Voxeet Services to you.

Third party uses

We may share some of your personally identifiable information with our consultants and service providers for the purpose of improving, maintaining and monitoring the Voxeet Service, the Site and the Voxeet Software and facilitating the services that Voxeet offers to you.
