Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, has named Voxeet one of its 2016 Cool Vendors. Every year, Gartner identifies a short list of companies they deem “cool”—unique, innovative, impactful, buzz-worthy. And this year, we’re on it.
So what makes us cool? Gartner points to our TrueVoice 3D audio technology, a spatial approach to conferencing that eliminates the challenges of traditional single-channel conferencing (talk over, spotty sound) and allows users to position meeting participants—and their voices—wherever they want them during their call. Their report also praises our Whisper Mode feature, which allows callers to have private, one-on-one voice conversations with another caller while still in conference.
Discussing the conferencing industry at large, Gartner laments that “the quality of audio in multi-party sessions is generally poor, and especially so when users join from cellular networks. This limits the effectiveness of those sessions and the engagement of employees.” And it makes Voxeet’s high definition, surround sound audio—a rarity among conferencing solutions—a welcome addition, one that “will offer a far more engaging experience for participants, and make conferencing more effective.”
We couldn’t be prouder to have Gartner recommend us to IT and business leaders who want to offer their teams “a higher quality conferencing experience.” We have to admit: it’s pretty cool being a Cool Vendor.
